Explanation
Saint George is traditionally pictured as a traveling knight slaying a dragon, fully armored and dressed accordingly. Popular devotion to the figure remained strong at least until the eighteenth century. To be piled up in heavy warm clothing is thus to be tapa coumo Sant Jòrgi. The Provençal phrasing is more vivid than the translation suggests, since tapa means to cover completely, but above all to seal shut.
